Gathering the what?
This year’s event will focus on driving our community together. We will be a tribe for five days. Some will paint their bodies with tattoos of the tribe and compare them with fellow tribes-members. Some will look beyond the party and into the interpersonal relationships that shape our community by participating in workshops, games and performances that bring people together and encourage meeting new people. Many theme camps will participate in a special burn ceremony by committing to keeping a flame alive. Throughout the event they will tend their flame and on burn night the flames will come together and ignite our burn ceremony. Along the way there will be lots of ideas for ways to “Gather The Tribe;” but at the end of the day it’s up to the production staff and team leads of this event to foster such an environment; to encourage the strengthening of the bonds we share with one-another. Gathering our Tribe will be my focus in producing this event. The intent is to help people to realize how fortunate they are to be surrounded with such creativity, beauty, laughter and mayhem; because lets face it: NOBODY has friends like WE have friends. LOVE.
Visitors to our park are not required to disrobe, but weather permitting, nude recreation is the norm. With the opportunity for clothes free recreation, we enjoy a natural healthy escape from the daily grind. While strolling the grounds, visitors often encounter deer or hawks and eagles soaring overhead. The grounds include streams, waterfalls and nature trails as well as volleyball and other sport activities.
